Response to Intervention (RtI) |
Response to Intervention is an approach to provide early, systematic, and appropriately intensive assistance to children. RtI involves research-based instruction and interventions, regular monitoring of student progress, and the subsequent use of these data over time to make variety of educational decisions. Interventions may be provided for students with speech and language delays before a formal evaluation process is initiated.

Speech-language therapy |
A wide range of speech-language services are provided. Consultation is used to monitor a child's skills. The speech therapist routinely checks in with a teacher to discuss their progress. Direct services are given in the therapy room either individually or in small groups. These sessions can be provided monthly, weekly, or more than once a week. Integrated therapy may be used to allow the therapist to work with a student in the classroom or playground environment. The amount of services may fluctuate based on severity and need.
